François Chappuis

François Chappuis is professor of humanitarian medicine at the University of Geneva. He is a medical doctor specialized in internal medicine and travel & tropical medicine, with a PhD in medical sciences from the University of Antwerp (Belgium). He currently heads the division of tropical and humanitarian medicine (DTHM) of the Geneva University Hospitals. He collaborates with Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) as a medical adviser for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). His teaching and research focus on NTDs, in particular sleeping sickness, Chagas disease, kala-azar and snakebite
