Geneva University Hospitals

Founded in 1995, the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) can draw on a long tradition of medical and scientific excellence. HUG ranks first among Switzerland's university hospitals. It comprises eight public hospitals and 40 outpatient clinics. HUG's geographical location gives it a window on the world. The hospitals actively help to further Geneva's influence abroad. HUG is engaged in active cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and coordinates more than 50 projects worldwide. It also promotes global access to treatment and patient safety.
